Took a test & was negative & then when I looked an hour later it was positive?

How can I help out my brother-in-law who is a private in the Army who just found out he is a father?

My brother-in-law is a 20 year old with a mind set of a 14 year old boy. He just graduated from basic and training two weeks ago. He took a paternity test and found out that he is the father to a two month old boy. He has orders to take him to Korea in the beginning or middle of July. He is on leave at the moment but he is running out of time fast. He is in the Army but where he is on leave there is a Navy base around 30 min away. The mother is an absolute train wreck. She doesn't bathe the baby but every three or four days and the baby has horrible diaper rash. The poor baby has open blisters and she doesn't know how to properly change a diaper to keep the baby dry. Well my b-in-law cannot get the mother onto base now because she has no picture ID, no driver's license, or state ID card. She cannot get on base to set up child support or set the baby up as his dependent in the system. (I know alot of this stuff because I am a veteran and I am an air force wife.) He is running out of time fast and I have no idea what advice to give him. I wish there was a way to extend his orders. He found out just last week that this is his child and it is completely the wrong time. Not to mention that he is immature and is not taking the right steps to maximize the time that he has left before he has to report to his duty station! Can anyone give me some advice on what to tell him?!?

First you always need to believe in yourself. Sometimes we work in situations that are not representing us in our best light but this far from means you are incapable of success or achievements. For example if you ask for the benefits, a set salary, the three weeks vacation but forget to ask for a nice boss and get a boss that is unappreciative and over loads you with work do you think that it is your fault and you are not good enough or do you realize that the expectations placed on you are not realistic and super woman herself would fall behind and loose desire to please in this work environment too? Yes she would, so at the end of the day you are doing better than anyone else with a nice boss as you take on the challenge and still accomplish what is physical possible while at the same time having negative energy around you at work everyday. Remember to live in the moment take on each task and only one task, do what you need to in that moment and if you do not have enough time finish each moment it is what it is... Remember to ALWAYS Believe in your self, it makes finding a job much easier.

I tend to Americanise my U.K English when I write to people in the United States. For instance I write Faucet instead of Tap, Diaper instead of Nappy,Yard instead of Garden..(you get the picture..) Looks good. I think you have most of the stuff covered. I would suggest a baby bathtub though. You can bathe them in the sink but it will be difficult to hold the baby in one hand and wash him with the other without slipping. Bathtubs are pretty cheap. I also think you should get baby lotions and creams. They are different then ones for adults even if they are the allergy-safe, sensitive skin kind.

Should I let my daughter shave her head?

Okay, so my daughter Alex wants to shave her head. Her best friend Brittany was diagnosed with Lukemia a few weeks ago. She's started chemotherapy and her hair has begun to fall out(which I know must be terrible for Brittany. Her hair is yellow-blong and straight and she's grown it about three feet long). Anyway, Alex wants to shave her head to show her support to Brittany. They are very close. During this time, I was receiving unemployment while attending college full-time. I met with Hector Huerra, the landlord and explained my situation to him and expressed my desire to move in. Hector told me that normally, he does not give anyone who is not working an apartment, but he saw that I was genuine and honest and decided to give me a chance. After giving Hector a deposit of $220, I moved in the same day.The rental agreement was that rent was to be paid weekly at a rate of $120, or to be paid bi-weekly at a rate of $240. Seeing that my unemployment was paid weekly at an amount of $222, I chose the weekly arrangement. I also kept receipts of the money orders I used to pay the rent in their entirety. In February of 2010, my unemployment ran out and I was unable to pay my rent. When I went to Hector and told him of my situation, he told me not to worry about it, focus on my schooling and let him know what develops. Although Hector told me this, I still felt bad because he had been good to me as a landlord. Shorty after, I found a job and was able to pay on the back rent that I owed. In March of 2010, my unemployment was extended and for a few more weeks, I was able to pay rent on time. Also during this time, Hector began working on my bathroom, replacing the tub with a shower.The work that was to be completed on my bathroom was never fully accomplished. Hector only had one other person, Julio, who was assisting him with maintenance duties. I found out later that Hector suffered from cancer and due to his illness, he was unable to complete tasks around the apartments. I notified both Hector and Julio of the sink and was told by Julio that “he would get around to coming up to my place to take a look at it.” In December of 2010, I began to notice a severe decline in the overall upkeep of the apartment. Still dealing with the bathroom and sink in the condition they were in, I still continued to pay rent. During this time I found out that Hector would be leaving to go down south so that the weather conditions would not affect his health. I explained to Hector that once again, I was let go from an assignment and that unemployment would not be guaranteed. He once again told me not to worry and that “he would not put me out because I was his favorite tenant.” I finished college and proceeded to look for employment and always let Hector know what was going on. It was also during this time I discovered that Hector’s cell phone was in Julio’s possession. Get your son on the potty and only put him in a diaper at night only. During the day keep him in big boy underwear, and ask him every 30-45 minutes if he has to go to the bathroom, and give him an incentive to go. I really need honest opinion and advice about this guy I like?

Sam is a senior and I'm a sophomore in college. I met him officially through Cory, who's a classmate of mine, and who's also crazy for me, but I sometimes hang out with him just for fun. Would you prefer adjustable straps for your baby?

I crochet baby clothes, but not being a mother myself I don't really know what is ideal. So, the mothers of babies out there, would you prefer straps that were adjustable (tie or buttons?) or straps that were sewn on and couldn't be moved? I did use reusable diapers for about a month or so then i switched, i just couldn't keep up with them. The pros are you save TONS of money, diapers are not cheap at all. If you are going to go with reusable diapers i would buy at least 5 so you don't have to wash right after. I use to hand wash mine first then throw them in the washer, then hang them up to dry. There worth it if you really want to stick with it, the saving money does help alot lol.

Why would vocational rehab companies wanna referred me to some treatment?

i wanna get some getting my own place and a good job, but i dont want to be referred to a counselor whom i dont trust. i wanna get my own place, my own good job right away, and thats it. but why would i need treatment? cause i cant handle the paperwork myself unless i get assistance from that counselor. i been through this before, it took me a year or two to get a job bad. and i didnt like the vocational services cause most counselors dont understand that i need something that will give me enough time for me to do other leisure stuff and spend time with friends.

Post Surgery Uncontrollable Urine?

About 6 months ago my male Terrier got diagnosed with a bladder stone. We couldnt afford things at the time, so we had a charity vet do it for us. We took great care of him after surgery and if anything seemed wrong we went to the vet for check ups. He is doing great, very energetic. But I have noticed when laying down, he uncontrollably pees. I usually let him snuggle with me at night but now I wake up with urine stains all over my bed. He doesn't mean to do it. I take him on multiple daily walks. So I haven an 11 month old daughter. We are trying to get her to sleep by herself now. We are using the crying out method right now. And before I feed her to put her down I always change her diaper. But once I set her in her play pen to sleep, she starts crying. And then she ends up pooping everytime. And it's smelly. Why does she poop everytime she cries? If you can retract your skin over your head when soft then you should be ok! To be fair , this happens to most guys with foreskin and did to me. You have literally just got to be patient and stretch it everyday. Best thing is to just pull it back and hold for a while and do this whenever you can. If your just sittin watching tv , then do it then. (obviously in private) . It is f****** annoying having tight foreskin especially when you're sexually active , but you should tell the girl, if she's mature shell understand and if not then she's not the one haha. the sensitivity is so normal ! How old are you? Are you anywhere close to getting your license? If so, then I think you could make it work eventually. If you still have a ways to go, I don't think it would be the best idea. Long distance relationships are hard, but can be done if you still get to see each other and all that. If you have no way of getting there though, you're not going to be able to see each other very often. If you'll be able to drive soon or could talk a parent into taking you, could take a bus or train, etc. I think it would be fine. If that's not possible, no one is really going to want to be in a relationship with someone that they can't ever see. It's just not that fun. Also, ask her out in person. I tried making a cloth diaper friendly diaper rash cream and I used raw Shea butter as the main ingredient. For chilly days use a blanket sleeper. And check into those swaddling blankets. Our lil guy lived in his! This was the only way we could get him to sleep.

my granddaughter refuses to be potty trained, we bought her the nice decorative undies, we got rid of the diapers and pullups. i would say that the best way to get good at something is to practice....so in your case just get out on your bike and keep ioncreasing the distance and constantly pushing yourself (although do not injure yourself).....look for different places you enjoy to ride to/around....and then link these places together on one ride....cycle to one and then after riding there, cycle to the next one....this is an easy way of overing long distances without realising:)

Speaking subjectively here, folks. I'm not a writer, I don't write for leisure as some of you evidently do. I only write when I'm required to do so. I personally, (and trust me, I'm not just being modest) don't think I have an ounce of writing talent in me, but much to my surprise, many others beg to differ. Particularly my English teachers. They've always praised my work, (assigned work that is), and have offered I send in essays into contests to which I declined due to my own feelings towards my work. I was awarded my first English award in the third grade. For what, God knows. I've received a few English awards throughout middle school and high school alike for unknown reasons and utter strangers have acknowledged my writing as well, claiming it to be...good or decent at least, for lack of a better term. Regardless, I'm unyielding in my belief that I'm rather average. I'm repetitive, ambiguous in a bad way, and did I mention repetitive? I have no desire to write. My limited imagination wouldn't allow it. Writer's block and I, we've become close friends over the years. So, personally speaking, I believe I'm a terrible writer, despite outside influences. What confounds me is the fact that many of my peers seem to have convinced themselves that they're a poor man's Charles Dickens when most of them can't even write in the simple yet magnetizing style of J.D. I really need honest opinion and advice about this guy I like?

Sam is a senior and I'm a sophomore in college. I met him officially through Cory, who's a classmate of mine, and who's also crazy for me, but I sometimes hang out with him just for fun. But both Sam and Cory knows that I don't like Cory even though he is nuts for me. Sam asked me out the next night, without letting Cory know about it, and we ended up having s*x but promised that he won't breathe a word to this to anyone. 2 days later, he called me drunk and accidently spilled the fact that we did it, while he was out with Cory and some other guy friends. He got kinda pissed and mentions that 'maybe next time we will hang out'. So there was no news of him for over a week, so I thought I'd ask him out myself next. I doubt it makes much of a difference. Protein does get broken down slower than most carbs so I'll say carbs first so you get hungry and then take in the protein. Eggs contain more fat than protein so it's not an ideal protein choice than meats.

Right i need some advice, I booked a hen do online with eclipseleisure.co.uk. I found the staff very rude so decided to cancel the whole booking and book somewhere else. How do you deal with hypercritical, angry people?

My boss (and my friend oddly enough) is everyday, hypercritical of everyone he knows, including me, from the way I read a menu, to how I do my artwork, to how I deal with my family, to how I do things at work, and everything you could possibly imagine someone could criticize, no matter how insulting or ridiculously invalid or unnecessary or irrelevant the criticism may be, as long as he is venomous about it, in his mind you are an idiotic evildoer and he is a victim/lecturer. He denies being angry whenever you point it out, but it is obvious to anyone that he is furious over nothing. Whatever his mood is, his favorite thing is to be demeaning to anyone he can be demeaning to and get away with it (strangely enough he can control his psychological problem around his superiors), and he has no consideration for whether or not his complaints even make sense, and certainly couldn't care less if he hurts someone's feelings, over and over again, systematically, and for no good reason at that. Most people know he is ALWAYS in a bad mood and avoid him as much as possible, but no one can predict what absurd expectation he has for them at any given instant. Any time away from him usually results in an uplifting zen-like feeling that makes you think you are on morphine or a vacation to Hawaii even while you are working your *** off. Usually he wants people to read his mind or make assumptions or to simply know things you could not possibly know. It is incredibly disruptive and hurts the productivity of people working for him. People often make mistakes just to avoid his invalid criticisms. Even a brand new employee gets no warning, they are just supposed to know everything there is to know about the job, to the point where most of them are shell-shocked, even when they've done nothing wrong or inadequate. In short, he is absurd to the extreme. Whatever the case, he always has mood swings, but what makes me even more disappointed is that even when in a good mood, he absolutely cannot go without finding the most unbelievable excuse to insult someone's intelligence or morality, even mine, though I am his only friend on Earth (guess why he has no other friends). Everyone describes these same problems with him the same way, and their response is to let him treat them like crap even while they are excelling and doing absolutely nothing wrong - it is just expected of him and they have no choice because he is the boss and can be as irrational as he wants to be. I will be moving to a new job soon, even though I am the type to stay at one place if I am even moderately happy, but I am sick of my hair falling out and literally wondering if it is stress-related, so if anyone has any OTHER ways of dealing with such a person for the next two months, let me know your ideas. The advice I've seen online from "experts" all says that you can either avoid a bully, which is not an option right now and only makes the world a darker place full of more bullies, or turn the other cheek and hope they magically become inspired by your vulnerability and helplessness. Unfortunately, this wimpy non-response is how people have always tended to deal to him and it has only enabled him more, and probably the whole reason he was able to develop into such an overgrown child in the first place. My friendship with him is truly surreal on a daily basis. I often find myself wondering how he can continue to amaze me each day after five years of this BS. Now it seems too late to change him, he is over fifty after all. I am in my mid thirties, but I have always stuck up for myself, I do not pass on ill treatment to other people, I give it back to the person who mistreats me, but unfortunately it seems everyone else has enabled him his whole life, all of society in fact, and now he has no emotional capacity for dealing with life, whether under stress or at leisure, without attacking people on a daily basis, whether friends or employees. No amount of coddling or love or kindness phases his attitude, so don't bother suggesting that - unlike me, he's had all manner of encouragement and support and positive input virtually his entire life and makes plenty of money. Regardless, he clearly relishes increasing the stress in other people's lives, no matter how unfortunate they may be, ad infinitum, without remorse or regret. He even talks to his mother this way, she's quite old and heaven forbid she doesn't remember something minor or can't operate a computer. He would have no problem disparaging my own mother, father or five year old niece in the same demeaning way, etc. I know I'm not the only person trapped with this unfortunate archetype society has created and left me to deal with, so if anyone else has had any success dealing with oversized children like this, aside from running away or letting them continue to mistreat you, let me know what your approach was.

Am i really doing too much?

i became a follower of Christ towards the end of my first semester in college. before that my roommate and I were great friends. The moment i decided to change and made new decisions our friendship started going downhill. we don't go to clubs anymore or parties together. she still goes but i don't. I love going to church and bible study. I never miss any meeting. well whenever she ask my opinion about something she always mention "i know you are holy and stuff but ...." . I overheard her tell someone that i am doing too much, that i am taking this too far. that christian people parties too. i go to parties, not all type, just the ones where i can be myself and have fun without smelling drugs and being around drunkards. I wouldn't be strong enough to keep my faith going to clubs and wild parties so i would rather not go to them at all. so in short we do not hang out at all now. we do not talk much either. It's so weird. I don't feel like i am too much, i feel like i need more of God. I want him more and more. oh and she also mention to her friend that she feels uncomfortable around me. I don't get it. i have tried to lower my standards to hang out with her and some friends but that led to gossiping and backstabbing people. so instead i just don't hang out with them at all.

I think my cat is sick! Can you help?

For about a week now my one year old male cat has seemed to be trying to cough up a hairball. I purchased some GNC hairball formula and have been giving it to him, and yesterday he stopped coughing. From the day I got him he's been a sweet and loving cat. Today I picked him up to move him off of my office chair and he started growling and showing signs of aggression. I put him on the couch and sat with him for a few minutes then pet his head. He was rubbing his face against my hand but not moving his body much. Once he was comfortable I ran my hands over him to see if there was any tender spots that could be causing his growling. When I got to his hind legs he growled again, and again when I touched his stomach. Not two hours ago he was on my lap lying on his back demanding a belly rub (I think he's part dog). At that time I checked his teeth, ears, and paws (which I do at least once a week) and everything is fine there. He's been eating and drinking normally, and using the litter box regularly. He is an indoor/outdoor cat. When the weather is nice I let him out usually around mid-morning, and he comes in and out all day at his leisure, and once dark sets in I keep him in for the night. Any ideas? I can't bring him to the vet this week, after I paid my bills I literally have $2 dollars in my pocket and there are no free vet clinics in my area.

Mold in Diaper rash shea butter?

I tried making a cloth diaper friendly diaper rash cream and I used raw Shea butter as the main ingredient. I used raw Shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter, aveeno colloidal ointment ( mixed with a little water to make it pasty) and a little bit of lanolin. Now it's been a week or so at room temp and there was lumps and mold looking stuff in it. Could it have gone bad? What ingredient could have caused it to do that? How do you store it once it has been mixed with other stuff?

He worked there for 8 years before returning back. His family used to dictate his every move till his mother passed away. In UK he was very carefree and happy, but here he's bitter and cynical. My parents married by compulsion. They hate each other. When I was born he wasn't there to greet me and my mom, and his excuse was he's working. My dad controls my mom even when she used to work. My mom had to sacrifice everything( including her health for me) despite his abuses. MY dad has changed many jobs ever since. He was abusive to me and my brother till my sister was born. My dad says he's sorry but he doesn't seem to be genuine. My parents argue almost everyday (it was intense when I was young) and my mom has attempted suicide many times. My mom wanted to divorce my dad but she can't because of me and my siblings. Only a few months ago he apparently seems nice to us. To the outside world, he's damn charming and portrays himself as a saint. When I was young he used to be drunkard and he has many traffic violations(thousands of dollars). And he is gullible to other people's say. He is easily swayed by others opinion and never listens to my mom/my opinions. I was raised for a year by my late grandpa. Then, without any choice by ultra-abusive nannies(they physically abused me). I just can't forgive my dad because whenever he says he's changed, he reverts back to square one. The only thing I know is that he is narcissistic. He uses my family to exalt his image. He never plans anything, including financially, and he is impulsive. He used to have anger issues too-reason why he was physically abusive. He never shows any remorse or guilt. He doesn't hit my mom but when accidentally injure her he just leaves without a sorry. My brother is leaving soon to US on scholarship-his only emancipation from this rut. He is lucky he's top a student/valedictorian of his high school. I've got 4 more years till I can get out(in uni now).

15 years old...and wetting the bed?

For the past five, or so, days, I have been wetting the bed in great amounts. I have researched alot of this across the internet and I seek an answer from a professional or specialist that knows alot about this condition. I will as well accept answers from fellow teens, though. I just can't get past the thought of using diapers for this...should I wear them or not?

yes wise words from your dad, you know when you get older, have a family and work, you won't have much time for fun as you did back when you were young. So while your young, careless and free have fun go out and experience many things so when you start a family you can pass on your knowledge to your children. And you don't have to go to parties or club's to have fun.. Some fun things to do with friends are movies, sports, bowling, arcade, eat out, pool park, invite your friends over, etc. For more quite/relaxing times go pooling or golfing. Though I do reccommend going to bar sometime in your life every man has to do this some point.

DFW Airport Regulations?

I'll be flying in the next few days from DFW airport, and I haven't been to the airport in a LONG time. With all of the craziness with the TSA (can not believe they made that 95 year old women remove her adult diaper!!!!) Should i take up squash?

You would be much better off with a good hard tail bike with V brakes then any full suspension bikes with crappy disk brakes. CCM bikes are going to be the same quality that you find at Zeller's or Walmart. Full suspension bikes at that price range are very poor and just soak up your pedaling energy in the cheap shocks. Spend the money on a good shop quality bike or find a used one.

I would go to Texas Tech because there is a big international student population and it is not overcrowded. The people are friendly and the professors care about their students. At least check it out to see if you enjoy the atmosphere.

My daughter never wants to put diapers or clothes on. What do I do?

I am 6 months pregnant with my second child and my 16 month old daughter never wants to put on clothes nor does she ever want her diaper changed. If I change her on the floor, she picks up the clothing or diapers and runs around the room with them. If I change her on her bed, she pees all over and refuses to stay still. If I change her on my bed, she crawls away and jumps on the bed squealing and she will do all of the above for 20 or 30 minutes at a time. Sometimes, when I manage to get her to lie down she will kick me in the stomach profusely til the point where I literally have footprints on my stomach afterward from her kicking me. It's extremely frustrating because I am getting so much bigger and more exhausted that I honestly do not have the energy to chase her all over the bed or all around the room a million times a day. With this pregnancy, I have a problem with excessive sweating and the more I chase her around the more I sweat and the more aggravated and anxious I become because the sweating makes me so uncomfortable. I mean I sweat everywhere under my arms, under my boobs, in between my legs, my back, my face. I don't want to force her or yell at her because really that is the only extremely annoying thing she does, but I don't really know how to break this habit of hers. Please help!

I'm 15 years old and I want a child so badly. I'm not like most kids who say they want kids at this age, I mean I am seriously considering it. I've wanted a child since I was 12, like seriously wanted one. I don't have a job, but my mom did say if me or my sister ever had a kid, we have enough money to take care of it, and my parents would help until I am finished school.
