Senior Citizens: How am I sure Im safe while Using the toilet?

I am very old and I have never used the toilet my neighbors are very good freinds of mine and they came and put diapers on me, but recently they told me they were going on a vacation so how can I be assured the toilet is safe because I don't want to be sent to a caring home.
